Sweet as Honey: Gift Tags and Honey Chicken Stir Fry

I certainly enjoy a sweet treat as much as the next person. And, some of my favorite treats are not candy or chocolate. I’m a honey fiend! I love using honey to add a bit of sweetness to my tea, my dinner, and even my life. From homemade honey scrubs to honeycomb toast, I seem to find a reason to enjoy honey whenever I can. When I saw that Don Victor had an Orange Blossom variety, it was the perfect addition to my pantry. I already own Don Victor products, and I’ve actually gifted them too! Keep reading for sweet as honey party inspiration and simple recipes to share.

Sweet as Honey Party

To prepare for my party, I stopped by Walmart to look for the 16 oz. Don Victor Orange Blossom Comb Honey Globe Jar. You can find Don Victor products in the Hispanic foods aisle. What stands out about this honey is that it is raw, filtered honey, and it is not heated or processed in any other way. You can see that the honeycomb is INSIDE the jar, and guess what? You can eat it! No, really, you can! My husband actually told me this last year, and I finally had a chance to try it. You can spread it across your favorite bread with butter, and the heat softens the comb so it flattens into the toast. You can try it on hot biscuits, French toast, pancakes, and even French bread as I do below.

Serve dinner with a kick! Try Don Victor pure honey.

Be sure to store your honey at room temperature or else you could accelerate the crystallization. What is crystallization? It’s when the crystals combine and harden. It’s not spoiled, it just needs to be warmed up! 😉 Simply place the honey jar in warm water and stir until the crystals dissolve OR you could try to place the honey container into near boiling water that has been REMOVED from the heat.

Honey Chicken Stir Fry Recipe

Honey Chicken Stirfry

One of my favorite EASY dishes is stir fry. You can combine olive oil, garlic, and your favorite vegetables and meats for an aromatic (and tasty!) dinner idea. If you’re throwing a party for a large group, stir fry is a FAST way to feed everyone in a hurry. Use a jumbo wok or pan to cook up sliced peppers, chicken, and more. My favorite way to add flavor to chicken is with honey. Last year I shared these spicy honey drumsticks, and this time around I’m using this chicken stir fry as inspiration for your next party. If you’re hosting a holiday event, break out the wok! I know many families that enjoy Chinese food for Christmas Eve, so this is a fun way to do so.

Honeycomb Toast Recipe

Don Victor

For a fun appetizer, break out the honeycomb! As mentioned above, you can EAT the honeycomb! There are a few ways you can prepare this dish, but I LOVE bruschetta. I’m a big fan of tomatoes and olive oil atop warm bread, but sometimes I need something different.

Honey Party Ideas

With mozzarella cheese, butter, and a drizzle of Don Victor, this is a perfect appetizer for a party! Use the honeycomb to add texture to your appetizer, and you can let it “melt” into the bread. Serve this appetizer hot!

Honey Party Ideas

Plan a sweet as honey party with gold and teal colors! Let guests serve themselves with colorful candy, simple appetizers, and chicken stir fry! I recently saw teal Christmas trees at the store, and I knew this was going to my color this season. I’m going to use teal everywhere I can!

Honey Party Ideas

You can offer gift bags so guests can take candy home with them, like these giant gumballs, and you use mismatched plates for added flair. I like to combine colors and patterns so things “match,” but they aren’t all the same.
