Lavender Sugar Scrub and Nighttime Routine Printable

Homemade beauty products are one of my favorite ways to make a gift on a budget, and it's one of favorite ways to unwind after a long day. I am all about systems and routines, and having a specific nighttime routine can help me refresh my mind and body.

Lavender Sugar Scrub

This holiday season is all about the hustle and bustle, and I know that I need to be well rested so that I can be my BEST self each and every day. I want to share just how I can focus and relax after a long day, and it includes this sweet smelling lavender sugar scrub. I stopped at Walgreens to gather some of favorite nighttime essentials like fuzzy socks, and face masks.

Advil PM

To create your own nighttime routine, start with a fresh smelling sugar scrub. You probably have all of the ingredients in your pantry!

Supplies Needed:

  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil
  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 1 small GLASS mason jar with a lid (do not use plastic with essential oils)

Once you gather your ingredients, start mixing! I added 1/4 cup of coconut oil to the sugar and stirred well. I then added another 1/4 cup of coconut oil (approximately) to form a nice, consistent scrub. Add about ten drops total of the essential oils, and stir until completely blended. Pour mixture into a jar. Just make sure the jar is glass, and you might need to alter the amount of coconut oil depending on how you want to scrub to feel. Some might want it more wet while others prefer it with less oil.

Once my scrub was finished, I refreshed my nighttime routine! I am kind of a fanatic about printables and paper planners, so I knew I needed a bedside checklist so that I can make sure I do just what I need before lights out!

While my to do list might be a bit too specific for you, I do hope that you use it as an inspiration for your own routine! Try to turn electronics off at least an HOUR before bedtime. I also use this time to write a few sentences in my journal (sadly, mostly more to dos! I can't shut my brain off!), and I make sure to read at least a chapter of a book before bed. I use sugar scrub on my hands, elbows, and feet. I then put on fuzzy socks. It totally helps makes my feet extra soft!
