Let’s get ready to celebrate warm weather, lazy weekends, and happy hours! My favorite way to relax on the weekends is with a nice pitcher of sangria full of fresh fruit. Strawberries, when they are in season, along with blueberries and raspberries are my go to options. I love to pair them with the light and fruity taste of my favorite Arbor Mist varieties. Keep reading for simple appetizers, a summer sangria recipe, and a few party tips for a festive Memorial Day party!
Arbor Mist isn’t a regular wine – it’s way more fun! Featuring flavors like Blackberry Merlot and Mango Strawberry Moscato, it’s a tasty treat on warm summer days. I like to pair wine with simple appetizers like bruschetta and dips. For a Summer Sangria party, break out the confetti! I like to throw parties and weekend get-togethers with a bit of sparkle. Whether it’s a splash of a fizzy drink or colorful favors, I try to create a relaxing atmosphere with no fuss. Party planning can be a lot of fun, but it’s also stressful. To avoid feeling overwhelmed, serve readily available drinks like Arbor Mist and create these fast appetizers. Let’s get started!
Looking for a summer sangria recipe?
What goes well with sangria? Well, these three appetizers surely do! From pepperoni cheese, bruschetta, to a seafood salad, you can’t go wrong with this light fare.
First up is this garlic bruschetta! Bruschetta is kind of my favorite. I make it as often as I can since it only requires about fifteen minutes! I try to mix it up every time I make it (in fact, you may remember my jalapeno bruschetta recipe or my red wine bruschetta recipe!). This time, I went heavy on the garlic. Crushed garlic is my new favorite, and I include it in every dish I can!
- 4 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1 tbsp of basil
- 1 tsp of crushed garlic (or use minced garlic)
- 1?2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1?2 cup olive oil
- 1 French Bread loaf
- Chop tomatoes and combine with basil, garlic, red wine vinegar, and olive oil in a mixing bowl.
- Slice the French bread into thin slices. Toast in a 325 degree heated oven for three minutes or so until warm.

This garlic infused appetizer is simple to serve and easy to replicate!
These pepperoni cheese sticks are a breeze to assemble before a party as well. Gather mozzarella cheese sticks and wrap sliced pepperoni around them!
My party’s third appetizer featured crab meat atop warm crusty bread. This seafood salad combines crab meat, shrimp, celery, mayonnaise, onions, and of course, garlic salt.
So, with three appetizers, a special sangria recipe, and a few fun treats… what more can you do to enjoy this summer get together?
Encourage guests to sample all the different flavors of Arbor Mist wine. Mix and match and make sure to rim wine glasses with sugar!
