Pretty Patriotic 4th of July Party
This post is sponsored, but all 4th of July party ideas and opinions are my own!
I’m ready to kick off my shoes, cool off in the pool, and host a massive backyard BBQ. I think the theme of my website, Sunny Sweet Days, is warm. It overwhelmingly supports easy recipes, summer days (and nights!), and big, cozy get-togethers. When I had the opportunity to partner with Sam’s Club to share 4th of July entertaining ideas, I couldn’t pass it up. Buying in bulk for a holiday party is one of my favorite things to do! Bring on the sparklers, sunscreen, and pool floaties. Let’s have a July 4th party!
To begin your Fourth of July party plan, consider how many guests you will have at your home. I like to have extra chairs for the outdoors, but we do live in Florida. It is nice to have fans and a mix of air-conditioned space to keep cool. Ice cold water and refreshing fruit, like watermelon, can keep guests at a comfortable temperature. I found seedless watermelon at an awesome price at Sam’s Club, plus everything I needed for our party!
From burgers, chips, beer and soda, to even dessert, you can get everything you need in one place. Plus, there is nothing wrong with leftovers! I was excited to find a bulk package of pork steaks at an awesome price, and we can feed our party guests and enjoy a few extra meals. Whether you want steaks, ribs, or burgers (or a combination of them!), the meat section has a large selection. You can also find sustainably sourced seafood, fruit like watermelon and sweet corn, and even Member’s Mark super premium ice cream.
Fire up the grill!
With our party supplies purchased, we set up the grill for our summer party. We marinaded our steaks in a garlic and lemon dressing before searing over a flame for two minutes on each side. Remove from the direct heat and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until the desired doneness. Easy!
While our steaks were cooking, we sliced up watermelon for easy snacking.
No pool? Consider water play! Sam’s Club also had inflatable pools and sprinklers along with hilarious pool floats to keep everyone entertained.
To prepare our party table, we served beans, macaroni and cheese, watermelon, and cooked pork and steaks.
Make sure to have tongs on hand so that guests can help serve themselves.
The sweetest patriotic cupcakes were dessert, and I may have paired my dessert with a glass of wine. 😉
I found plastic wine tumblers that made it easy to serve outdoors so there was no glass near the pool.
Holidays like the Fourth of July bring back great memories. Fireworks, swimming, and relaxing under the late summer sunset. I’d like to pass along similar memories to my son, so I hope that he enjoys the big day too. This party inspiration brings nostalgia to your event through easy BBQ recipes and homegrown fun.
