To make this succulents planter, you will need a small terra cotta flower pot, small stones or rocks, gravel or sand, faux succulents, craft glue, scissors, craft glue, a paint brush, and twine. Easy peasy!
Dollar Tree Succulents Planter Craft
Begin by dry brushing your flower pot. In order to dry brush, you use a dry paintbrush that hasn't been dipped in any water yet. Roughly apply the paint to the flower pot in quick strokes. This gives it a weathered look! Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
Place a rock on the inside of the pot. This will cover the drainage hole and keep the gravel or sand from falling through.
Fill the flower pot with gravel or sand. Leave a bit of space at the top to add your succulent.
Take the succulents of your choice and press them into the gravel. There is no need to glue them in place as the gravel will hold them.
Cut a length of twine or ribbon and wrap it around the top of the flower pot. If you wish, you can secure the ribbon to the pot with a small dab of glue. Allow to dry.
