Best Ways to Cook a Perfect Paleo Steak

Take time to observe how humans eat today. Haven’t you noticed that it’s more about pleasure than nutrients? Food manufacturers will do their best to please the consumers’ taste buds. Yes, even if it means adding artificial flavorings and all.

This is the reason why many people are turning their eating routine into a paleo diet. This lifestyle consists of foods similar to what might have been consumed during the Paleolithic era. The date is roughly 10,000 years to 2.5 million years ago.

That’s exactly the period where humans’ homes are caves and huts. Basic stone and bone are tools. Hunting, fishing, climbing, and digging are the best ways to find food. These goods include lean meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds.

Paleo recipes might contribute a lot to your health as well. You can learn a lot about it all over the internet.

In this article, you will learn 7 things you should do when cooking the perfect Paleo steak.

1 Season the steak

After choosing the best meat, it’s time to take your steak out of the fridge and season it using your favorite herbs and spices. Of course, don’t forget the salt! Rub on both sides of the steak and let it sit for about 30 minutes.

This process makes sure that the meat is holding the flavors better. You can also cut off any excess fat to avoid massive blazes while grilling the steak.

2 Fire up the grill

Charcoals for smoking and grilling the steak are authentically amazing. It brings up this roasted flavor that balances the tenderness, juiciness, and savoriness of the meat. Heat the griller anywhere from 550 to 650 degrees F.

When the coals are ready, it is highly recommendable to divide the griller into two parts. One area where all the coals are flaring up and another one that doesn’t have any coals. The indirect heat will allow your meat to rest and avoid burnt-cooked steak.

If you are cooking for batches, replace your top grate from time to time. Allow the grate to heat up before putting the steak. Place the cover on the grill but make sure all vents are fully open.

When everything is ready, you can now drizzle cooking oil all over the grate. Charcoal-grilled steak is one of the most delicious recipes you will ever serve! The taste is amazing so let’s get it on!

3 Cooking the steak

Place your meaty steak on the hottest side of the grate. Put in directly above the charcoals. Let it sear for 3 minutes, rotate a quarter turn then place it back down. Place it again on the hotter side and let the steak sear for an additional two minutes. Flip again and let the other part sear.

When both sides are properly seared, move it to the grate where there are no coals. The flavors will sink into the middle part because of this process.

Remember that when you have thinner meat, it might be done cooking on a few sears and flips.

4 Level of doneness

When you hear the word steak, rareness is of high value. Use a digital food-grade thermometer, check the temperature of the steak while it’s still on the grate.

Rare – 130°F

Medium-Rare – 135°F

Medium – 145°F

Medium-Well – 150°F

Medium-Well – 150°F

Just a reminder to take the temperature while the stake is still grilling. Its temperature tends to rise a few more degrees from the moment it’s removed from the grill.

5 Remove and rest the meat

The final step of grilling is to remove the steak from the grate and place it on a cutting board. Loosely tent it with aluminum foil so it can hold the heat for longer minutes. Allow it to rest for 3 minutes. This releases the juice in the steak and makes it tender and juicy! You can also cut off any excess fat using the Almazan Serbian butcher knife to avoid massive blazes while grilling the steak. For other meaty recipes, you can find more from this page.

6 Perfect combination for Paleo Steak

Steak is too savory to eat alone. Whenever you will cook one, it is more enjoyable to eat this protein-loaded meat with starchy foods. Eating enough of these will complement the taste of the steak. It’s good for the brain too! Grilled potatoes and corn with lots of spices and herbs are the most recommended ones. You can also try grilled corn. Side dishes are not limited to starchy vegetables only. Mushrooms and asparagus are great options too.

If you love salad, don’t forget to have your lettuce ready. A leftover steak can be transformed into a steak and veggies salad. Truly healthy and delicious!

7 Paleo drinks

No steak meal is complete without a drink. A Paleo steak is already perfect with fresh water. There are so many Paleo drinks to choose from. You can try drinking fresh fruit juice or tea from dried leaves.

The whole course of Paleo meal is totally exciting.
