Gluten Free Sandwich Board

There’s nothing like getting all of your favorite foods and condiments together for an epic sandwich spread. Take that idea one step further and combine your love for charcuterie to make a Gluten Free Sandwich Board for your next get together. It’s an easy appetizer that is BEAUTIFUL and fun to make!

Gluten Free Sandwich Board Ideas

I was lucky enough to attend a local event recently where we learned how to make a variety of meat and cheese boards, so I knew I could customize these ideas to make our own sandwich board. Since we like to enjoy gluten free options, I picked up Udi’s® Delicious Soft White Sandwich Bread from Publix.

Gluten Free Sandwich Board

Udi’s bread is the softest option for a gluten free spread, and I am obsessed with how this board came together. Using Udi’s is a game changer since it has a soft texture with a delicious taste, plus it is the right size for your needs. Their 24 oz loaves offer a 30% larger slice which makes it comparable to conventional sandwich bread. It’s certified gluten free, dairy and nut free, plus it has 8 grams of whole grains per serving along with other vitamins and minerals!

The star of the show, of course, is Udi’s Gluten Free bread. To create a spread, start with your ingredients and a large wooden board. They key is to have color, flavor, and accessibility when you are building your board.

By cutting the bread into triangles, you’re making it easy for guests to sample and taste different sandwich varieties.

When I learned how to make amazing boards this week with a cookbook author, she taught us how to fold our meats into triangles as well. It makes everything come together and adds height to the board.

My favorite sandwich combination was the salami, ham, cheese, cucumbers, peppers, and then mayonnaise and mustard.

Ready to make your own sandwich spread? Here’s a quick checklist to show you everything you need.

Sandwich Charcuterie Board

  • Udi’s Gluten Free Bread, cut into triangles
  • Variety of lunch meats like ham, turkey, and salami. Fold into triangles and stack.
  • Cheese slices, cut into triangles
  • Mini pickles
  • Small bowls with ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard
  • Spinach leaves
  • Cucumbers, sliced
  • Peppers, sliced

And, of course, your favorite toppings.

To arrange your own sandwich board, group similar items together. Make it easy for guests to access all of their favorite toppings. Use toothpicks to help guests hold their sandwiches together or so they can stack their triangle sandwiches together.

Gluten Free Sandwich Board

I am seriously impressed with how this bread paired with all of our toppings for our sandwich board. This is the simplest way to include your gluten free friends and family members in all the fun! You can even create a themed board if you wanted to group similar items from different culinary destinations. For example, a Greek board with feta cheese and olives to top your sandwich. Or, go Italian and use pepperoni and mozzarella. The sky is the limit!

What will your imagination dream up? The best thing is now you can enjoy bread again if you are gluten free or like to eat gluten free! You can also try making a quick charcuterie board on a budget!
