Snoring is not just an annoying sound that disturbs the peace of your family members, roommates, or neighbors. Sleep on your side instead of sleeping on your back since this is what most people do at night before they start making those irritating snoring sounds. You can also place a pillow between your knees or behind your back so that you will not sleep in an uncomfortable position. 

You should also keep nasal passages free from congestion – allergies and infections can cause nasal congestion thus leading to snoring. Use a saline spray to keep your nasal passages moisturized and avoid taking antihistamines before bedtime since this is very likely to make you drowsy the next morning. Drink enough water – when you don’t drink plenty of water, mucus is automatically produced which then starts accumulating in your throat thus increasing the risk of developing snoring problems.  Last but definitely not least, try using anti-snoring devices such as a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) to make breathing easier. This device pushes oxygen into your lungs and also keeps your throat open during sleep.

What Should You Do If Loud Snoring Wakes Up Your Partner?

If you’re sleeping beside someone who snores, their loud and constant snoring can be very irritating – especially if you just want to get some good shut-eye. There are two ways to go about this: one is by investing in sound machines that produce soothing sounds such as rainfall or soft music so that it will be easier for you to fall asleep even if your partner is making those annoying snoring sounds. The other way is to treat the snoring itself by following the tips that have been mentioned above. It is very likely that your partner’s snoring will improve if you do this.
