July 4th Cricut Crafts: Patriotic Candle Holders
July 4th is just around the corner, and we’re getting ready for the festivities by making these patriotic candle holders! This project is so simple, and the results are so pretty! All you need to make these candle holders are a few materials, and a little time. Even if you’ve never used a Cricut before, these patriotic candle holders are a quick and easy project that you’ll enjoy making.
July 4th Cricut Crafts
To get started, pick up a few supplies at the Dollar Tree. You can find these glass votive candle holders and star votive candles at the Dollar Tree or your local craft store.
You will also need red and blue vinyl, transfer tape, and acetone along with your Cricut machine.

Clean the side of the glass candle holder where the vinyl will go with acetone and allow to dry completely.
Upload the patriotic SVGs in Design Space.
Use the color tool to change the color of each element you want to be red and blue.
Hide all the red elements of the design using the eye icon next to the element in the right menu.
Select all the blue elements and weld them together.
Show all the red elements of the design and hide all the blue elements. Select the red elements and weld them together.
Hit the Make It button and load the color vinyl displayed first on the screen onto your cutting mat. Cut the design.
Remove the vinyl from the cutting mat and place the next color on the mat. Cut the design.
Use your weeding tool to remove the extra vinyl from around each design.
Place transfer tape on top of each design and transfer one color to the front of the glass candle holder.
Then, transfer the other color to the candleholder, centering the design before pressing it in place.
Place the star candles inside each candle holder.

Use your Cricut to create these cute patriotric candle holers! I estimated the cost of this craft at $5 or less as I am assuming you have a Cricut machine and vinyl available already.

Instructions

- Place transfer tape on top of each design and transfer one color to the front of the glass candle holder. Then, transfer the other color to the candle holder, making sure to center the design before pressing it in place.
- Place the star candles inside each candle holder.
