Love is in the air! With all the engagements around the holidays, many brides-to-be are wondering about the details of their engagement party. Traditionally, the bride’s parents offer to host a party in honor of their daughter’s engagement. However, anyone can host an engagement party. Since it is not a gift-giving event, the engaged couple can even plan their own shindig. My husband & I picked our favorite restaurant on the beach and planned a night out to celebrate our upcoming nuptials. It was simple, easygoing, and inexpensive. Members of the bridal party decorated the private room at the restaurant, and we enjoyed appetizers and cocktails.
If I could do it again (or help a friend plan theirs!), I would love to do a simple backyard beer-tasting BBQ. The menu would consist of local brews, beer cheese dip, and spiked cupcakes.
Beer Tasting Engagement Party
Personalize beer bottles with fun labels or tags, pass out bottle opener favors, and serve beer out of vintage tubs. Provide the bride and groom with personalized koozies, and if you’re into gift giving, personalize a tavern sign or opt for a bride idiom bracelet from Kate Spade.
