Break out the horseradish and get ready to make a spicy cocktail! One way to cool off this summer is to HEAT it up. Have you ever tried a michelada? You’re in for a treat if not. It’s a clever combination of flavor that can be customized YOUR way. Add extra spice, top with a special garnish, use your favorite beer. Here is how we make micheladas using Clamato® Tomato Cocktail. Consider adding this to your soccer championship party menu or just for a lazy Sunday. There are no rules for this drink except to enjoy it responsibly! 😉
To start mixing up this drink, head to Walmart to pick up your ingredients. I will give you my standard recipe, but feel free to get creative with your favorite flavors! Look for Clamato Tomato Cocktail in the 64 oz. bottle so you have enough to make a few drinks.
Since we live in Florida, we have a few local soccer teams that we support. Between watch parties and going to the arena to watch the games, it is so fun to watch my family truly fall in love with a sport. Not only did our son play soccer for a year, he anticipates playing again during the upcoming season.
This is why we will be watching the soccer championships and clinking our glasses together with one of these drinks. Look for big serving glasses (like a goblet) so that it is easy to mix and add your favorite garnishes.
We used a Mexican beer as the second ingredient in our drink besides Clamato Tomato Cocktail.
For an extra kick, we added horseradish. I also included lime juice and a shrimp garnish.
We prepared these shrimp ahead of time using olive oil, garlic, and cilantro.
