Walking Taco Tailgate Recipe
Are your weekends filling up with social commitments like concerts, sports games, and outdoor activities?! I know mine is. I long for summer days with lots of sunshine, an 8PM sunset, and delicious food and drinks to share with good friends. Whenever we hit a festival or summer concert, we always get there early to enjoy the atmosphere. We listen to music, share snacks, and laugh way too much. Last summer we managed to hit up several shows in my local city of Tampa, and I already have three pairs of concert tickets for this summer so far! When you're on the go this summer, don't forget to pack munchies for the road like these amazing walking tacos!
To get started with your new concert or tailgate treat, you're going to need to stock up on El Yucatecoยฎ in your favorite flavors. I found mine at Publix. I purchased the Red Habanero Hot Sauce, Green Habanero Hot Sauce, and XXX Habanero Hot Sauce (Kutbilik). El Yucatecoยฎ is the #1 authentic habanero hot sauce, and they are made from habaneros hand-picked from their own fields. What is really cool is that El Yucatecoยฎ will now be available at select stadiums and The House of Blues! I love seeing a good concert at my local House of Blues (and they have a delicious Sunday brunch!), and since they are music lovers just like us, they want to give you the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience.
Ready to re-create your own walking taco with these flavors?!
To get started you are going to need your favorite sauce. I opted for the Red Habanero Hot Sauce. They key is to marinade your meat in four tablespoons of sauce along with your favorite seasonings like salt, pepper, garlic, and that's it! The sauce truly has the seasonings that you need to make your taco treat a delicious combination of Mexican-inspired flavor.
What makes this an easy tailgate treat is that it is served in a plastic bag so that you can take it on the go. All you need to pack is your favorite hot sauce, a fork, and you're ready to roll! This is why your concert food just got an upgrade. Forget chips and salsa. This is entirely more flavorful and easy to transport too! Once your chicken has marinaded in hot sauce and garlic, you can grill or bake it.
To prepare your walking taco, open a bag of corn chips. These act as the “taco shells.” Add your chicken (add extra hot sauce if you'd like!).
Your favorite toppings, like lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes, are all welcome.
Crunch up your chips, stir, and ENJOY! You can create these the morning of your next concert or sporting event and take them with you on the go. They are easy to toss once you're done since they are all contained in a plastic bag. No mess but LOTS of delicious flavors! Your favorite El Yucatecoยฎ flavor can be taken with you whether you're heading to a festival or a baseball game. Enjoy!
