Walt Disney World is where dreams become a reality. Whether you are a little kid, engrossed in the adventures of Disney characters, or an adult looking for a magical escape, Disney World has unique experiences for all age groups. While there are many attractions to be seen at Disney World, including theme parks, live entertainment, and beautiful scenery, perhaps the most enticing attraction is its cuisine.
The Boathouse at Disney Springs
The Boathouse is a dreamy, luxurious dining experience right on the water at Disney Springs. Getting a table at this 5-star restaurant is no small feat, as reservations are made months in advance. Because of its consistently high quality, 5-star reviews, and excellent service, they named The Boathouse the second highest-grossing independent restaurant in 2019. Since its establishment in 2015, the restaurant has been a popular attraction at Disney World, with lines forming down the sidewalk every open night.
Food That’s Worth the Hype
The Boathouse specializes in Florida-style surf and turf. The restaurant is home to various sea and land cuisines and offers the best lunch and dinner portions. They offer premium steaks, chops, fresh seafood, pasta, and more high-quality meals. Besides luxurious cuisine, The Boathouse also offers casual recipes like sandwiches, burgers, and lobster rolls.
The Boathouse also offers other unique dining experiences like the Captain’s Raw Bar, the Admirals Club Bar, or the Dock Bar for cocktail classics (adults only). The Boathouse also has an exclusive, rare wine selection to choose from. After dinner and drinks, try the key lime pie in a mason jar, or the s’mores baked Alaska.
The Boathouse offers an extensive selection of shellfish, appetizers, specialty foods, and desserts. Some fan favorites include the Yellowfin Tuna Poke which is paired with creamy avocado and a tangy soy-lime vinaigrette. The Shrimp & Andouille Mac & Cheese, as well as the Firecracker Shrimp, are also unique dishes at The Boathouse. Finally, the Duck Duck Razz cocktail is perhaps one of the most famous drinks at the Disney Parks, further proving the unique experiences of The Boathouse.
An Exquisite Experience
The Boathouse’s name contributes to its extraordinary interior design and location right on the water. Upon walking in, you will see real working boats hanging from the ceiling, and boat engines and rowing oars displayed as an artistic decoration. Outside, you are seated right on the water, surrounded by boats, a boardwalk, and crisp ocean air. The Boathouse also includes three themed rooms and two private dining areas for reservation.
The Boathouse is not managed by Disney, but by Gibsons Restaurant Group which is known internationally for its great food and exceptional service. The company that created The Boathouse, Schussler Creative, is also to thank for the Rainforest Cafe and Yak and Yeti at Disney World. Schussler Creative is no stranger to themed restaurants and is known for its extraordinary dining atmosphere.
Want to Dine Here?
The Boathouse is open from 11 AM to 11 PM Mondays through Fridays, and 10 AM to 11 PM Saturday and Sunday. The Boathouse also offers live entertainment and guided water tours every week for a post-dinner experience.
