Break out the paper umbrellas…it’s time to party! An outdoor get-together is the simplest way to throw together a few party appetizers and enjoy the weekend. With warmer weather and more time off (hello, vacation time!), we love inviting people over to grill, watch movies, and relax outside. We are lucky that we have a large backyard, and we accommodate many guests for a simple celebration. If you’re ready to gather your best buds for outdoor games and conversation, follow these tips for the best summer soiree! Just…don’t forget the snacks!
Summer parties revolve around food, don’t they? The menu is the most important part of a party, and we headed to Walmart to pick up RITZ Crisp & Thins. I was thrilled to find both RITZ Crisp & Thins Barbecue and RITZ Crisp & Thins Cheddar. The flavors are perfect as is! These two new great flavors are the PERFECT grab-and-go snack. They are NO mess too, so they are an easy option for road trip snacks as well.
Summer Party Tips
Create a guest list and send invitations. Digital invites are so much easier, and they let your guests add them to their calendars effortlessly.
Plan your menu. Stock up on simple snacks and easy to serve entrees. Let guests serve themselves. You can grill or even bake hor d’oeuvres. We have lately been serving dishes from our pressure cooker, and it literally, takes the pressure off our party menus! And, of course, don’t forget the snacks. Pick up a few bags of RITZ Crisp & Thins in a variety of flavors. Dips aren’t necessary for these – they are awesome on their own.
Don’t forget about drinks. Fill coolers with ice and have a variety of beverages available from juices, waters, and perhaps even an adult beverage or two.
Plan seating. Do you need to rent additional chairs to accommodate guests? Think about what chairs and tables you have and make an inventory of how many seats you need.
Plan decor. Look for simple lighting options, tablecloths, and set up a drink station too.
Consider parking. Do you have a parking plan in place? Our county won’t allow any street parking, so house parties can be tricky. Get your neighbors involved and invite them to the fun to get a few more parking spaces! 😉
Don’t forget bug spray and set up a fire pit if you can! When the sun begins to set, a fire pit makes all the difference. It creates the best summer ambiance.
