Hello, delicious! As a native Floridian, I take pride in savoring seafood at every opportunity I can. I love shrimp, my husband loves crab. We recently had the opportunity to visit a beautiful Red Lobster location in the Tampa, Florida area, and we treated ourselves to a sampling of Red Lobster’s Crabfest menu. Crabfest, the ultimate celebration of everything crab, is back at Red Lobster for a limited time!
Keep reading for our experience and how you can turn any day into a celebration with Red Lobster!
When we first arrived at Red Lobster, it was easy to see that Crabfest was a special event that was here for a limited time. The menu was full of dishes like the NEW! Dueling Crab Legs™, Crab Lover’s Dream®, and the NEW! Crab Cakes and Crab-Oscar Salmon.
While I decided over what entree to order, I made sure to sip on the NEW! Crabfest® Cooler. This was exactly what I needed for a happy hour after a long day at work!
This drink just reminds me of the beach since it is a tropical blend of Malibu®, Midori, Sour Mix and pineapple with a Blue Curacao Float, served in collective Coastal Crab glassware.
As for our entrees, we had a tough choice deciding. Everything was so good! I ended up with the NEW! Crabfest® Ultimate Surf & Turf while my husband enjoyed the NEW! Southern King Crab Leg Dinner.
But first, biscuits! Bet you can’t eat just one…
The Southern King Crab, found primarily off the Pacific Coast of South America, features a mild flavor and delicate texture. This entree was served with two sides and was plenty!
I opted for the Crabfest® Ultimate Surf & Turf which included Shrimp-topped crab cakes and wood-grilled sirloin steak with a crab-hollandaise topping. Served with mashed potatoes and choice of side. I loved the topping since it combined all of those flavors together. I had leftovers!
The story of Crabfest starts at the source – on the boats out at sea searching for and catching the delicious crab that ends up on the plates at Red Lobster. This is important to me since we do live in Florida and have access to seafood whenever we want. If we are ordering seafood in a restaurant, I want to know that it is fresh! Whether it’s king crab sourced from the icy waters of Alaska, Dungeness crab from the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean, or blue crab from the Atlantic Coast of North America, all of the crab served at Red Lobster is traceable to the source.
Red Lobster is giving guests a look at the sea-to-table journey through a partnership with Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch. You can see Wild Bill, crabbing expert and sea captain of the Summer Bay, navigate the waters of the Bering Sea, work with experts to inspect the crab caught on the docks, and join a Red Lobster chef in the kitchen to learn how they expertly prepare the Crabfest dishes.
