How to Create an Inspirational Office
I find that I can’t seem to get much work done when my office isn’t cluttered and my planner has a fresh and neatly written daily to do list. I also like bright colors, wall art, and organizational tools. When I was writing my latest workbook on office organization, I knew there was more to it than just being “organized.” Sometimes a few new touches can add character to your workspace to help you feel inspired.
Once you go through your home office and streamline your space, it can be helpful to make sure that your refreshed room offers:
- Inspiration
- Creativity
- Energy
It should be a stress-free office oasis where you can focus on your passion projects. Your office shouldn’t be a storage space or garbage can. If you don’t feel cozy and inspired in your office, will you want to actually work? Make your office a place you truly love spending time in, and you will work more efficiently! You may find yourself feeling more productive and creative too. You don’t need to be an interior designer, but these ideas may help you!
Inspirational Office Decor
- Candles
- Plants (I love succulents!)
- Fresh flowers
- A sculpture
- Wall art
My favorite additions to my office is this burlap goals board with inspirational postcards from Erin Condren and Lara Casey. Katie Daisy is an artist, and her work is displayed on a colorful canvas above my desk. I also love these prints from Hope Ink.
Office Inspiration
Consider adding a few sketchbooks and colored pencils to jumpstart your creative side. Zen gardens are a nice touch, but you don’t want to clutter your desk with TOO many creative activities. You could also create a simple fish tank display with plants. Fish can be soothing and pretty to watch.
