It might have cake and frosting, but these pretty push pops have a few servings of fruit! So, it’s almost healthy, yes? You can do so much with this push pop recipe idea to customize these to your favorite holiday or fruits. Just imagine adding kiwi to make red and green push pops for the holidays or how about sliced oranges for Halloween?
To make these treats for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or even Labor Day, these patriotic treats need fresh strawberries, blueberries, sprinkles, push pop containers, whipped topping, and a pound cake. When you buy one that is already prepared, you can save time!
Fruit Push Pop Supplies
To get started with your push pops, cut the pound cake in half lengthwise. Use one of the ends of the push pop containers to cut 12 circles from the cake.
Insert one of the cake circles into each push pop container making sure to press it down to the bottom.
Put some of the whipped topping into a plastic baggie, cut the corner off, and pipe a layer over the cake. Next, add a layer of blueberries to each container. Add another cake circle to each one and then a layer of whipped topping again.
Add a little dollop of whipped topping and sprinkle the patriotic sprinkles over the top.

Ingredients
- 16 oz. Frozen Pound Cake, thawed
- 8 oz. Whipped Topping
- 1 cup Fresh Blueberries
- 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, chopped
- Patriotic Sprinkles
- 6 Plastic Push Pop Containers
Instructions
- Cut the pound cake in half lengthwise. Use one of the ends of the push pop containers to cut 12 circles from the cake.

- Serve right away or you may refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
