Red, White, and Blue Cupcake Bar with SKITTLES® Candy: Fourth of July Cupcakes

This year, our school calendar lets out on Memorial Day weekend. I have the perfect idea for a celebratory activity! Gather your best cupcake toppings—like frosting, sprinkles, and cupcake stands—and pair them with the fruity flavors of SKITTLES® Candy! We whipped up a batch of our favorite vanilla confetti cupcakes and used vanilla frosting in a piping bag with a star tip. A star tip makes it easy to frost in various designs.
Once your cupcakes are cooled and frosted, start decorating! Small cupcake liners can be reused to hold sprinkles and candy, and we sorted out the red, white, and blue colors of SKITTLES® America Mix Candy from Dollar General®!

I stop into Dollar General® when we need items in a hurry for a good price. Our local store is in between our home and baseball practice, so it is easy to run in to stock up on sale items or pick up last-minute party ideas. Look for your closest store and stock up on your favorite cupcake toppings. They will also have everything you need to bake and frost your cupcakes, too!
