How to Add Personality to Your Christmas Tree

We finally got our Christmas tree up this past weekend, and I am truly excited to see how it came together. Each and every year we try to add our own family personality to our tree, and I wanted to share a few tips to add fresh ornaments and holiday cheer to yours! From felt to personalized ornaments, here are a few tips to help you decorate your tree beautifully (and on a budget!).

Christmas Tree Ornaments
The first thing we do each year is celebrating the season with a personalized ornament. This year we decided onย theย Our Life Together Personalized Couple’s Ornament. Whether you’ve been married for two weeks or twenty years, it’s a sweet reminder of your journey together as a couple. It is etched in glass, and the tree lights catch the ornament at just the right angle for a bit of sparkle.

You can add your own personal experiences to the ornament, and we decided to share our wedding anniversary and travel memories. We listed our wedding location (Sand Key Beach), the place we got engaged (Islamorada), our honeymoon spot (Costa Maya), and our first vacation together (Freeport). Our first date location, the Dunedin Brewery, is also on the ornament. Our son’s name, our “song” title, and our favorite island is also on the ornament. I have to admit, even typing this out is making me a bit nostalgic for our adventures!

You can also make your tree different each year with holiday banners! Create them with felt letters or string together felt balls!

Of course, our favorite Christmas tree decorations are our personalized ornaments that we receive each year.
