Dollar Deals: Cheap Valentine’s Day Decor + Gifts

Get ready for a journey toward cheaper cooking, celebrations, and crafts. Our local dollar stores have started stocking their shelves with Valentine’s Day gifts, décor and more. This time of year is one of my favorites to redecorate my home and office since I love all the cutesy heart decorations and red, pink, and white decor. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite Valentine’s Day essentials that are just a dollar.

1. Valentine’s Day socks. Check out the huge supply and variety of Valentine’s Day socks at Dollar Tree. These are great for giving as kid’s gifts or you can stuff them with rice and tie them with ribbon for an easy DIY heat pack. It makes a great gift for your sweetheart.

2. Valentine’s Day pencils. Get a pack of 20 Valentine’s Day themed pencils for just a buck. These are great to send for classroom parties if your child’s school frowns on giving candy.

3. Paper products. Make your home a little more festive with Valentine’s Day themed paper products. You will find plates, napkins, towels, and more. I also like to stock up on the red and pink items for use throughout the year since it’s very versatile!

4. Kitchen towels. Choose from a variety of soft and absorbent Valentine’s Day themed kitchen towels. For just a buck, you can grab a few for the kitchen as well as the bathroom. It is a cheap way to change up your space for the season. I always change my towels with the holiday seasons. You can also find stoneware Valentine’s Day mugs too!

5. Party supplies. Try Target’s One Spot or the Dollar Tree for fun items to make your next party a success. I love this tinsel heart decorative piece, and I have already bought a few items for Valentine’s Day recipe photography. Table runners in happy hearts and cute colors are my favorite! Other party supplies you might need include banners, glassware or placemats.

6. Candles. Whether you are planning a romantic dinner or want to give a friend a sweet gift, there is always a huge assortment of Valentine’s Day and non-holiday related candles. Buy your votives, tapers, scented candles, and more.

7. Greeting Cards. Don’t forget to snag your Valentine’s Day greeting cards. Enjoy greetings for the low price of 2 for $1, and send a snail mail surprise to your friends and family.

8. Valentine’s Day Cards. The star of the dollar section are Valentine’s Day cards. Sometimes you will find really unique options along with the regular paper cards in various children’s characters.

My pick for this year? These adorable Valentine’s Day pins and cards! I love them! They had a pack of eight for a dollar at my Dollar Tree. Don’t forget the fun stickers too!

9. Balloons. Send your sweetheart an arrangement of balloons. Choose from solid colors, themes, and hearts. Dollar Tree even has the weights you can tie them to. If you went through a florist for balloons, you would easily pay three times as much.

10. Duct tape. Because, why not?

Head to your local Dollar Tree and stock up on all of these Valentine’s Day must-haves. They will surely help you celebrate for less.
