If you haven’t been to LEGOLAND Florida in a while, now is the perfect time to go! The LEGOLAND Movie World has just opened and it’s super cool! It’s got three new rides and tons of attractions inspired by the movies. If you’ve got kids 12 or younger, they’ll love spending a day (or more) at LEGOLAND! We were invited to check out the grand opening celebration, and it was a colorful crazy day with SO much to do!
The LEGOLAND Movie World, in particular, is a colorful, one of a kind experience. Guests can walk through a re-created downtown Bricksburg complete with all of the characters, and feel like life-size LEGO mini-figures themselves!
The LEGO Movie Masters of Flight takes guests on a suspended ride aboard Emmet’s Triple Decker Couch, surrounded by a full-dome virtual screen, giving the sensation of flying through a world created completely from LEGOs!
On Unikitty’s Disco Drop, guests will swoop to the top of Cloud Cuckoo Land, then drop, spin and bounce back down to earth (in sync with Unikitty’s wide range of emotions)!
Battle of Bricksburg is the only water ride at LEGOLAND. On it, riders have to stop DUPLO aliens from stealing LEGO bricks by spraying water at targets from their boats. Be warned, though: people waiting outside of the ride can also shoot water cannons.
If that’s not enough, kids can also meet Emmet, have tacos for lunch at Taco Everyday, and of course, snatch some unique LEGO merchandise from the gift shop on the way home.
Keep the fun going with a stay at LEGOLAND Hotel in the new THE LEGO MOVIE themed rooms! Adults can relax in their own room inspired by Emmet’s apartment, while kids can enjoy a separate room themed after Benny’s Spaceship!
Be on the lookout for the special dates that “Access to Awesome” passes are offered. These provide early theme park admission to experience The LEGO Movie World before the park opens to the public.
LEGOLAND is located just 45 minutes from Orlando and Tampa, with more than 50 rides, shows and attractions inspired by popular LEGO brands and characters. There’s also LEGOLAND Water Park, the 152-room LEGOLAND Hotel, and the 166-room LEGOLAND Beach Retreat! There are so many different ticket packages to suit every family and vacation. Click here to buy yours and be one of the first to experience The LEGOLAND Movie World!
