I have another amazing Disney event to share with you this year. This is an absolutely can’t miss event during the Christmas season. Thanks to Walt Disney World for inviting us to review this event!
Last week we were so honored to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. We had so much fun getting dressed up for the occasion. There is no better time of year to visit Disney than at Christmas, it is really so magical. I can think of no more spectacular way to celebrate the holidays than with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom. If you’re family has never attended, I’m telling you it’s worth every penny! We’re annual pass holders who visit the park pretty frequently and are still willing to buy the extra ticket to this event year after year. Here’s why:
Enjoy the rides without long wait times. The park has a fraction of the number of usual guests during this party (and most of the guests that are present are likely watching the fabulous shows), so your family can enjoy all the rides without the hour-long wait times. No more picking and choosing which of the rides you have enough time to ride!
See holiday magic unfold on stage. Even the biggest Scrooge will leave with tons of Christmas cheer after watching one or both of the shows the park puts on specifically for guests of this party. Your kids will love A Frozen Holiday Wish, an enchanting performance starring Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf on the Castle Forecourt Stage. During the finale, Queen Elsa transforms Cinderella Castle into a glimmering ice palace that will leave your children awestruck.
And be sure to catch Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, an upbeat, musical show full of laughter and shimmering snowflakes! Expect a huge cast of Disney characters in this one, including the usual Clubhouse gang plus Peter Pan; Alice and the White Rabbit; Woody and Jessie from Toy Story; Snow White and Dopey, Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket; and many more!
We were able to see the Totally Tomorrowland Christmas party. We got to see Stitch, Mike Wazowski, Buzz Lightyear, and many other intergalactic friends singing some of our favorite Christmas songs.
We also visited Club Tinsel at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe for a dance party.
Take advantage of the best holiday photo ops. Between the unbeatable light displays and the characters decked out in their holiday best, this is your chance to get some great family photos for your Christmas cards. Meet and greet more than 15 beloved Disney characters throughout the park, and revel in a few rare appearances from the likes of Santa, Scrooge McDuck, and even Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws!
Watch Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. The usual parade gets a holiday makeover during this magical event. Expect to see all of the Disney characters your kids love, plus gingerbread men and elves dancing down Main Street, U.S.A. And of course, Santa makes an appearance in his sleigh!

Experience SNOW on Main Street! As a Floridian, this is a pretty big deal to me! (But I’m pretty sure everyone wants a white Christmas!) Between the festive decorations, cheerful characters, twinkling lights, delicious treats, joyful music, and the swirling of snowflakes, there truly is no more magical place to celebrate the holidays.
Enjoy unlimited sweet treats! We enjoyed several treats on this visit, we even stopped by Adventure Land for a snowman shaped soft pretzel! They had sno-cones, sealed cookies (so you can take with you and save for later!), apple cider, and more.
Tickets to this enchanting evening start at $89. This ticket is in addition to daily theme park passes. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is only held on certain nights.
This was absolutely an event to remember. You can, too, with special event keepsakes and merchandise that you can take home, including apparel, ornaments, and more!
Will you be attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year? What are you most looking forward to? Tell us in the comments!
