My husband is a multimedia journalist and I’m a busy blogger, so obviously our phones are our greatest tools. We use them to communicate. We use them to record interviews and conversations and to snap family photos. My husband shares breaking news on social media, and I share important documents from my phone. Plus, we travel and document our trips.
Scott: “On any given day at work as a baseball correspondent, I use my phone to record video of pregame interviews with the manager regarding injury updates and other noteworthy items. Then I usually get to talk with tomorrow’s pitcher. I then take a few pics of the starting lineup card for Twitter and maybe a few cool shots from batting practice for Instagram.
After the game, it’s a whole lot more interviews, which means even more video. On a typical homestand, It’s not uncommon to take a couple of hours worth of video. Throw in my general use of my camera for everyday life — and the occasional trip to a theme park — and my phone fills up faster than a four-seam fastball. Since an interview often covers a wide range of topics that I may not need right away, I can’t always delete them.”
Krystal: “My phone carries my blogging business. From large format photographs to video and even a podcast download here and there, my phone fills up very fast. I am constantly deleting photos and videos before shooting new things. I worry that I miss things and may have deleted an important photograph for a brand or even worse, a family photograph that wasn’t backed up!”
Many times, we have to transfer those video files from a phone to a computer so that we can edit them for broadcast or save them for a project we are working on at a later date. SanDisk’s iXpand™ Flash Drive is a great tool for helping us store and transfer all those important video files. These are precious moments we don’t want to lose!
This plug-in external USB drive delivers a simple way to free up space on your phone, password-protect sensitive files, automatically back up your camera roll, and even watch videos straight from the drive. It can plug into your computer’s USB port so you can seamlessly transfer photos and videos from the iXpand Flash Drive to your laptop or PC.
Simply plug in the Lightning connector and you can easily move photos, videos and other files off your phone and move them to your desktop or other compatible phones to share and store, freeing up space on your device and cutting down transfer times. The iXpand Flash drive supports popular video formats (.MP4, .MOV) so you can play videos back directly from the drive.
You can even use it to automatically backup your iPhone or iPad camera roll anytime the drive is connected. No need to purchase additional cloud storage. Plus it is more secure than cloud-based storage options. Encryption software allows you to password-protect files to keep sensitive files secure across your devices.
When time is essential, the iXpand Flash Drive is great for shuttling video quickly between the clubhouse and the press box…or from the cruise ship to your computer. We wouldn’t want to miss special moments like this!
Whenever and wherever inspiration strikes, SanDisk is there to help you shoot, store, and share every experience.
