We always travel during the month of December, and this year is proving no different. Between a quick trip to a local theme park, various jaunts around town looking at Christmas lights, and my son’s first field trip (!!), we have certainly been on the move. I appreciate the holiday hustle, but sometimes you just need a break. I recently read an article that said that we make about 35,000 decisions in ONE single day. I thought about our travels and thought… oh yea. Definitely. I can just see how that is possible. Between what to wear, when to leave, what to do, and what to EAT, there are far too many decisions that can weigh down our mind and body. When it comes to my son, I try to show him how to take ownership of his own decisions including things like snack time.
We made a “cafe” where he has access to his own snacks so that he knows what is available to him. He just started kindergarten, but this has helped us pass off some of those decisions to him. I love that he knows where to access his snacks without asking for help, and now that I’ve added Stretch Island to the snack shelf, I feel better about letting him make his own decisions.
Stretch Island Fruit Leathers and Organic Fruit Strips contain 0g added sugar.* I was thrilled to learn that all of the sugar in Stretch Island fruit snacks comes naturally from fruit puree concentrates and fruit juice concentrates.
Stretch Island’s fruit-based snacks have 100% fruit ingredients and are ALWAYS Non-GMO Project Verified, vegan, AND gluten-free. The Fruit Strips and Fruit Bites are USDA Organic.
With more than 40 years of experience (the Fruit Strips have been made the same way this whole time!), I feel good about trusting a brand for snack time that has history, quality ingredients, and flavorful options.
My son enjoys these products after school as he helps himself to a fast snack or we take them with us for easy treats on the go. Many of our local theme parks and attractions let us bring in our own snacks, so these always have a spot in our backpacks!
