Now it seems that by Sunday night, I find myself propped up in bed, trying not to move my neck too far to either side or lift my arms too quickly for fear of agonizing pain. Know your limits: Sure, you used to be able to kayak down a five-mile river run. That was the old you. The one that used to do those sort of things on a regular basis. If you try doing those things when your body is not ready to do them, you’ll find yourself unable to lift your arms later on.
