There was a time, not too long ago, that an adventurous weekend would leave me refreshed for the next week ahead. Now it seems that by Sunday night, I find myself propped up in bed, trying not to move my neck too far to either side or lift my arms too quickly for fear of agonizing pain. Fortunately, Biofreeze® Pain Reliever products can help you deal with the aftereffects of a wild weekend at a theme park, camping trip or fishing expedition.
Biofreeze® Pain Reliever products are a safe and effective pain relief alternative because they are non-systemic, non-narcotic, and contain no NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), salicylates or addictive substances. The penetrating and fast acting creams and sprays provide temporary relief of minor aches and pains like backaches, arthritis, muscle and joint pain, minor strains and sprains, and even bruises.
Biofreeze® contains United States Pharmacopeia (USP) grade menthol to provide fast acting pain relief and are free of parabens and propylene glycol.
Here are a few more tips to help keep you from overdoing it and get back to doing the things you love.
Healthy Weekend Tips
Stretch before you start: Yes, it may sound silly to “warm up” before going on the Tilt-A-Whirl ride at a theme park or before a nature hike but if you get the blood flowing to the muscles before you use them — even in a limited capacity — it will help the muscle’s stamina and you’ll feel less wore out by the end of the day.
Know your limits: Sure, you used to be able to kayak down a five-mile river run. That was the old you. The one that used to do those sort of things on a regular basis. If you try doing those things when your body is not ready to do them, you’ll find yourself unable to lift your arms later on.
This roll-on comes with me in my travel bag. Since it is easy to use and fast acting, I know that it can be my go-to option for pain relief on the cool. There is no mess, and it feels awesome!
Stay hydrated: Dehydration can lead to muscle cramps and increase your chances of spraining and tearing muscles. Drink plenty of water to keep muscles flushed of lactic acid, which builds up during physical activity, and functioning at their peak levels. It’ll keep you from being sore later on.
Avoid strenuous situations: I’ve learned that two big things that are sure to wrench up your back are wooden roller coasters and boating over choppy waters. If you know that your aching joints are going to make you regret doing such jarring activities, it might be best to just not do them.
The continuous spray helps you reach places on your body that you might have trouble reaching! ;) It is easy to experience this product with the spray wherever you may need it!
If you do overdo it, make sure to stock up on Biofreeze® Pain Reliever. They are now available from most of your favorite retailers a prescription. To find the retailer nearest you, check out their store locator. All products are available in both its signature green and colorless (dye-free) formats, are never tested on animals, and are produced in the United States.
