As women, we put ourselves through MANY beauty routines in order to look our best each day. We compromise between beauty and pain, and we hope that we look put together. The last step to being beautiful? A bright smile! For the first time in nearly two decades, I don’t have to stay up well past midnight because of job-related responsibilities. I have more time to get myself looking and feeling my best, and I wanted to share a few tips to help you feel beautiful without pain! Did you know that according to a survey by the makers of Sensodyne®, 1 in 4 women strongly or somewhat agree that that they will suffer through painful beauty regimens because the end result is worth it?
Set a hard bedtime: If you know exactly what time you have to wake up in the morning, do some math and figure out a steadfast bedtime exactly 8 1/2 hours before that. This will give you a half hour cushion to let you sleep naturally without depriving yourself a full-night’s sleep. Make sure you are completely prepared for bed when the time comes. A good night’s sleep is an IMPORTANT part of any beauty routine. It’s not called “beauty sleep” for nothing! It can be VERY painful to wake up early for work without having a full night’s rest. Bloodshot eyes, yawns, and a foggy brain are all very painful throughout the day.
Cut out the late night snacks: Like most of you who like to have a little snack when you get off work, I would raid the fridge or cupboards for a quick snack. While this is perfectly normal for someone who clocked out at 5, I’d be doing it like a Gremlin after midnight. Junk food has a bad effect on my skin, so it is important for me to not eat sweets. Acne is pretty painful, so no snacks at night can help.
Use insoles: High heels can be painful when worn all day, but you can wear special pads hidden inside your shoes for added comfort. It’s a small step that can save you from blisters in the long run!
Don’t forget your smile: One of the changes I recently made in my nighttime bathroom routine was switching to Sensodyne® True White®. When you are trying to go to sleep even the most minor pain or annoyance can become a major obstacle to slumber.
This includes irritation from sensitive teeth.
Sensodyne® True White® is 10x less abrasive than many leading whitening toothpastes*, providing gentle stain removal and active stain protection. Sensodyne® True White® uses a low-abrasion formula that gently lifts stains from the surface.
Now, you can turn to Sensodyne® True White® for a whiter smile and sensitivity relief, without the compromise. With twice daily brushing, Sensodyne® True White® provides sensitivity relief and helps whiten your teeth. You’ll be able to crawl into bed with a fresh, clean mouth and wake up with a brighter smile. That should help you rest easy. Beauty routines do not have to be painful!
