I actually thought summer would mean things would SLOW DOWN. I was so wrong. If anything, summer showed me just how busy life can be and how much work I can really do. It gave me new projects that I am grateful for, and it also showed me how if I really want something I can make it happen. However, there is one area of my life that I do need to improve on. I need to live better. I need to make conscious daily choices to nourish my mind and my body, and I need to schedule time to reach my goals. The only way anything will change is with consistency.
One way that I can add a little more happiness and wellness to my everyday routine is with a fresh fruit smoothie. I sometimes get bored with the traditional strawberries and bananas, and I like to experiment with different flavors. When I saw that Walmart had some unique beverage choices, I decided to get creative!
I shopped and bought Snapple Diet Peach, Neuro Bliss, and Brasilia Blueberry Bai5. These are a mix of flavors that are familiar and also new to me. Snapple is a staple in our house since if offers delicious drinks in a variety of flavors. However, Neuro and Bai5 are brands I have always wanted to try.
Since I work at home, I need to constantly stay hydrated and productive. I take frequent breaks just to walk outside or around my house, and I try to keep my tumbler full of an icy beverage. With Neuro Bliss, it was a sweet raspberry flavor that perked me up!
The Brasilia Blueberry Bai5 looks delicious on its own, but I thought it would be a great mixer in a smoothie. I sometimes substitute coconut water or yogurt in a smoothie, but this flavor seemed ideal with some of our fresh mangos! We have three mango trees in our yard, and we have to get creative to make sure we use them all!
I chopped up a pineapple, a mango, and blended it up on ice with Brasilia Blueberry Bai5. It was a fresh and fruity sensational smoothie!
- 1/2 cup mango
- 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
- 1/4 cup Brasilia Blueberry Bai5
- Combine all ingredients in a blender with ice.
- Blend until desired consistency.

Sometimes it is the simple moments that matter. Maybe by starting my day with a smoothie I will be more refreshed and energized. Either way, it’s an easy start to my busy life.
