Get ready for a tasty treat that looks and smells awesome, but it does WONDERS for your skin too! I have been experimenting with different sugar scrubs now that I have an essential oil kit, but this recipe calls for coconut oil! You can make a large batch of this to gift in cute jars for Valentine’s Day or Christmas, and you can also experiment with other spices or scents. Sugar scrubs are easy to make and enjoy, and this sugar scrub recipe will be SUPER fun to try this weekend!
To make your snickerdoodle sugar scrub, just try this easy sugar scrub recipe. You probably already have most of these ingredients in your pantry:
Ingredients
- 1 C. brown sugar
- 1⁄2 C. coconut oil
- 3 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a medium size bowl, mixing well.
- After mixing, add the mixture to your glass jars and seal shut.
*Makes approximately 12 oz and the mixture will last indefinitely. If any separation occurs, simply stir well.
You can present a portion of the scrub recipe in a cute glass mason jar and add twine or ribbon. These four ounce mason jars are my favorite!

I did a hairstylist apprenticeship after high school at a salon that had high profile clients and famous people walking in and out of them all the time. I also did a co op in high school. I Enjoy a bunch of your own DIY type of beauty cosmetics. My favorite is take half a cup of milk, and a spoon of sea salt and use it as a srub. So I was excited to see your scrub post because if a face scrub can taste like a snickerdoole I’m so in. Can I ask you where did you get your essential oil kit?

I make my own body butter because I have a lot of different allergies. I have been making them for my family and friends until they probe me to start my own body butter company. I’m going to try this scrub tonight because I love a great scrub and doing it myself. Looking forward to your other posts about DIY beauty products.

Wow this is a great idea! I love Snickerdoodle and scrubs but never thought of the two together before. I typically make a simple sugar scrub with sugar, honey and oil but this one just takes that one notch up! I love the idea of it and how easily it can be made. Thanks for sharing this!

Sugar scrubs are becoming very popular. I received a few different DIY sugar scrubs at Christmas. I have to admit, I haven’t tried them yet but I’ve felt the hands of others who have and WOW!

Now this is something that I am going to have to make. I love body scrubs. In fact, I try to make sure that I use one at least once a week. My week does not feel complete without it.

I have all of the ingredients! I bought a big jar of coconut oil for a cleanse I attempted and failed at. I’ve only used the coconut oil on my skin and was looking for other ways to use it!

I have been making my own sugar scrub for over 3 years now to exfoliate my lips and I love it. I will have to give this recipe a try mine only consists on brown sugar and honey and sometimes with olive oil and works wonders for my ever chapped lips

Oh my gosh, this is awesome! I love making sugar scrubs, especially different baked good scents. Those are always my favorite. I can’t wait to try this out! I love how yours looks nice and thick, so it won’t get as separated as store-bought scrubs. Have you ever noticed that? I bought one once instead of making it, and within a day, all the sugar was on the bottom.

First off, I have to say that I just love all of the photos in this post. They really make you want to go out and make this scrub…and really, how can you not when the ingredients and what it calls for isn’t complicated? I love the way a sugar scrub like this feels on the skin, and smells too! I’ve never made my own sugar scrub before, but I do buy homemade ones from time to time.

Thank you for sharing this! I’ve been looking for a sugar scrub that wouldn’t be too hard on my skin and the coconut oil sounds like a perfect way to moisturize and exfoliate at the same time. I plan on buying some coconut oil to use on my hair anyway so the more uses for it the better.
