Are you hosting a party for the big game? I know that I’ve already hosted a few friends over for a football party, but this weekend is the big show. From tailgate treats to sweet drinks, my kitchen is stocked and ready to roll! One way that I’ve saved time with my Sunday Funday game day menu is with Walmart’s deli wings. Gather up your favorites (I recommend the general tso’s for sure so you can use my recipe down below!), and add a few dips to your cart. I like to experiment with different sauces, and I came up with three easy dips for your game-day spread.
Add cooked bacon bits to ranch dressing. Stir and enjoy. It doesn’t get any more football than that!
Another way to spice it up is with this cheesy hot dip!
Hot Ranch Cheese Dip
Add 2 tbsp of shredded parmesan cheese to a cup of ranch dressing. Stir in one to two teaspoons of hot sauce.
It’s a spicy sauce, but it pairs nicely with buffalo wings!
But, the real star of the show, is this sweet and sour sauce. It has a cool taste but packs a punch of garlic. You can totally guess that it complements Walmart’s general tso’s boneless wings just right.
- 1 cup of pineapple juice
- 1/3 cup of water
- 3 tablespoons of white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons of corn starch
- 1 tablespoon of crushed garlic
- 1 teaspoon of hot sauce, optional
- Combine all ingredients into a sauce pan.
- Cook on medium heat and be sure to stir often!
- It will get thicker as you cook. My sauce was done within fifteen minutes
- Serve as a dip or pour over boneless wings.

As you can imagine, this sweet and sour dip was just spicy enough. I like to make my own homemade dips as opposed to buying them since they have a better flavor. You can also customize each one with your favorites. I basically put garlic in everything, so it was a total no-brainer to add it to this sweet and sour sauce!
Your wing bar doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive. With the pricing of Walmart’s deli wings and the ingredients I purchased for dips, I could feed a crowd for $20. It makes a fast Friday night dinner too!
Want to Walmart deli wings yourself? Check this list to see if your local store is hosting a demo! My store is holding one on Friday the 30th from 11am to 3pm, so I’ll be back to sample different flavors and share my thoughts on Instagram!
How do you spice up game day? What’s your favorite hot wing dip?
