I recently hosted a baby shower for a friend, and I shared the event on a blog about a fun Farmers Market baby shower. It was a great time, and it had so much room for creativity. Hosting parties and coming up with unique themes is one of my favorite things to do, so I was happy to think outside the box and create an idea that would delight the mama-to-be and surprise her guests. One of the tips that I had thought of during the party was to create a fun gift table. While unwrapping surprises is part of the fun, sometimes keeping presents UNwrapped can be just as wonderful! In fact, I used gifts as party decor since sometimes baby things are too cute not to share on a table or as a centerpiece. Since I’m sure you’re bringing diapers to your next baby shower or baby birthday party, consider leaving the big “surprise” unwrapped with this easy baby gift.
This easy baby gift would be a nice surprise at a baby shower or even a first or second birthday party. Mamas need diapers until potty training, and Parent’s Choice diapers run to a size six for 35 pounds and up.
I bought a box of Parent’s Choice diapers to create this gift, and I chose this brand based on its affordability and reliable performance. Parent’s Choice diapers are now more absorbent, and three out of four moms agree that they are the same or better than their current baby diaper brand of choice.
Perhaps what is the best part about introducing a new mom to Parent’s Choice diapers are that you can save $240 per year by using them versus other national brands. See for yourself: save money, live better. You can even save MORE with this online coupon to save $1.50. Look to see if your local Walmart carries the new and improved Parent’s Choice.
To assemble this baby gift, simply gather a few board books and children’s DVDs. You can get creative and add clothing, small toys, or even stuffed animals to the mix. Since I know my son never tires of books and crayons, I wanted to gift something similar. Just place your largest book on the bottom and pile high with diapers, alternating between books and diapers.
Tie the diaper stack in a ribbon with a big bow on top. I knotted in extra crayons for decoration, and I tucked a card in for good measure. The best part about this gift? Its cost. Children’s DVDs were each $5 or less, the board books were good condition finds at a local children’s resale shop, the ribbon was already in my supply cabinet, and the crayons were under $1. And, of course, the Parent’s Choice diapers were even cheaper with this $1.50 coupon!
What’s your “go to” baby gift?
