How do you start your day? If you’re anything like me, you fire up the Keurig and wait patiently for the caffeine to brew. While I do love a good cup of coffee in the morning, I’m starting to realize I should diversify and add more vegetables to my diet. One way to do this is with a healthy green smoothie. I seem to have trouble eating my spinach, so why not drink it?
I love the idea of “green monster” smoothies or “green machine” shakes. Whatever you call them, they’re packed with fruit, vegetables, and can help boost your energy. Are you ready to eat clean?

Some of these combinations involve fruits and vegetables I never thought to combine! I never would imagined blending coconut and spinach together or how a tea green smoothie would be so vibrantly colored. Each of these recipes encourages me to get healthier and try to eat cleaner when I can. I’ve already purged my pantry of junk food, and I’m about to embark on another Whole 30 challenge. While smoothies are not usually looked at positively in the Whole 30 community (they would rather you eat your food and not drink it), I don’t think anyone can frown on eating more fruits and vegetables.
