Sometimes the simple things matter most in my day to day life. I look forward to waking up, checking my email, and drinking a cold cup of coffee. Yes, I drink iced coffee year-round (I do live in Florid after all!). These small pleasures help me get motivated to lead a productive day. Each day where I accomplish something is another day closer to reaching my goals, so I try to conquer each morning with a smile and a “can do” attitude. My companion on these busy mornings? Coffee, of course.
To spice things up a bit on those busy mornings, I like to experiment with different coffee syrups. Yet, one thing that remains constant: my coffee creamer. I go way back with Coffee-mate. Their variety of flavors always brightens up my mornings, but their French Vanilla is my new favorite. Coffee-mate doesn’t believe in “plain vanilla” for your coffee, which is why created two distinctive and exceptional vanilla experiences (and one is a new classic). Your favorite flavor is now also available in two flavors: Classic and French. Want to try Classic Vanilla? Click here to locate a store near you!
So, what’s the difference? Classic Vanilla: The comforting flavor you remember in all your childhood treats. Its flavor is driven by beany, woody and vanillin notes with very little marshmallow and icing character. It is balanced and aromatic. While the French Vanilla is Deliciously creamy, this flavor is perfect anytime. Flavor is driven by sweet marshmallow and vanillin notes with very little buttercream character. I knew that the french vanilla would be a perfect companion to this iced coffee beverage today!
Vanilla is far from boring. It became the perfect combination for this peppermint vanilla swirl recipe. With just a splash of peppermint coffee syrup and a whipped cream topping, this decadent coffee is almost like dessert. And, dessert is totally okay for breakfast.
- 1 cup of brewed coffee, iced (try a light roast)
- 1 tsp of peppermint coffee syrup
- 2 tbsp of Coffee-mate French Vanilla creamer
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate syrup
- Stir Coffee-Mate French Vanilla creamer into one cup of iced coffee.
- Add peppermint syrup.
- Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
One thing to note is that there is no need to add extra sugar to this recipe. The light roast coffee pairs well with the sweet, creamy taste of the Coffee-mate French Vanilla. And, of course, the whipped cream topping gives enough sugar for you to handle. ;)
