Today’s challenge is about the books you love, the books you are currently reading, or the books you want to read. I have an addiction to buying hardcover books since I find that I take better care of them. I toss paperbacks all over the place, but my hardcovers get extra attention. I display them in my home–on my counters, on my bookcase, on my nightstand. My hardcover books get read over and over again.
I’ve mentioned this before, but I prefer nonfiction books. Whether it’s a memoir, a motivational book on weight loss, or a home organization tip book, I love them all. When I was in college, I took quite a few Creative Writing classes. That doesn’t mean I’m any good, but I did read quite a few memoirs. I practiced sharing stories about my life through essays and long narratives. While I never did pursue writing seriously, I have always held onto my stories that I wrote and my favorite memoirs from college.
Lately, I’ve been utilizing my Amazon Prime membership to its fullest. I have pre-ordered a few books, purchased hardcovers on sale, and I have been decluttering my bookshelves to make room for new classics.
Here are some of my latest purchases.
I can already tell some of these books are going to have notes in the margins and a permanent spot on my nightstand.
Kate Spade’s hardcover is giant and full of sparkles and fashion inspiration.
One of my favorite spreads in the Kate Spade book.
