With Earth Day tomorrow (April 22, 2017), my family and I are planning to celebrate with an outdoor festival, a farmer’s market trip, and a few activities to teach my son about the environment. He knows about recycling since he can separate what is recyclable versus what isn’t, and I think for a four-year-old he is more aware than I was at his age. Besides awareness, Earth Day is about making environmentally-conscious decisions about the food that we eat. For a simple and shareable snack, I partnered with Wild Selections® to create this family-friendly dish that is made with sustainable seafood.
Wild Selections is the only full line of Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified sustainable seafood. The blue MSC eco-label tells you the fish in your can comes from well-managed fisheries and healthy fish stocks. Where the fish is caught is much more critical than how it was caught (limited impact if the fish stock is overfished).
Working to ensure a fish-full future: Wild Selections® gives back to the oceans by donating 13 cents from every can sold—a total of $1 million by 2018—to World Wildlife Fund marine conservation and fishery improvement projects. Wild Selections is the only brand to “pay it forward” and act on its belief to take care of the oceans for the future, not just fishing sustainably in the present.
It is premium quality, sustainably sourced fish that’s 100% traceable. You can even visit WildSelections.com to learn where the fish in your can was caught. It offers simple all-natural ingredients and delicious taste. P.S., all tuna is Non-GMO Project Verified!
I look for easy lunch and snack ideas, and tuna always ranks high on list for quick solutions. You can make this for your work lunch or serve it at a party in a hurry. No guest will leave hungry!
