Organizing your kitchen is no easy feat. We are preparing for a move, and our entire kitchen is in boxes scattered about. I’ve been eating off of paper plates and have quite the collection of take out boxes on my counters. Moving to a new place can be challenging, but there are a few ways that you can ensure that your kitchen will stay organized once you get settled in. Inspired by Best Buy, here are a few ways that you can organize your kitchen.
How to Organize Your Kitchen
Create easily identifiable “zones.” Your kitchen probably has spaces where you do certain tasks. For example, maybe you chop your vegetables near the sink or prepare meals near the stove. Put your knife block near the sink for chopping and easy cleaning. Make sure your plastic containers for meal preparation are near your “meal prep” station. Put cups above your coffee maker.
Hide appliances you don’t use. There are so many appliances that I have used over the years: juicer, spiralizer, coffee maker, can opener, espresso machine, toaster. Keep your counters clear by storing appliances that you don’t use often.
Upgrade your appliances. If you have functional appliances in your kitchen that perform special tasks, you can stay organized too! If you are lucky, your kitchen will come ready to go with extra cabinets and shelving units. However, if your appliances or space needs an upgrade, Best Buy can help.
