Journaling is a simple hobby to start, and it can help with stress, overall health, and productivity. Whether you decide to use a journal as a planner (like a bullet journal!) or just need a journal to brain dump your best thoughts, there are a few different journal options. When you start journaling daily, you can express your thoughts on a daily basis, keep track of any ideas for work and home projects, jot down bucket lists, to-do lists, and schedules. If you need one for yourself or need bullet journal gift ideas, look for size, quality, and the types of pages inside. Quality binding is important since you want your book to last. A durable cover is a plus, and acid-free pages are good too.

Studio Oh! Choose Love Compact Deconstructed Journal: I’m kind of obsessed with all things designed by Katie Daisy, and this journal is no exception!
Start Where You Are: A Journal For Self Exploration: This journal is not a traditional blank journal, but is actually meant to help you figure out what to write. You will see a variety of images with text that is meant to inspire and motivate you. You will have prompts for writing during certain days and various exercises that help you reflect on your life and find yourself through the daily journal writing. It is a great way to start journaling for self-improvement when you aren’t really sure yet what you want to write about.
Leuchtturm1917 Notebook Medium (A5) Hardcover, 249 Numbered Pages, Dotted, Berry: This brand is kind of a standard when it comes to bullet journaling. These hardcover notebooks come in a variety of colors (I have the teal one!), and they include a table of contents, a pocket in the back, and a nice paper weight.
Moleskin Classic Notebook: It measures 5 inches x 8.25 inches, so it is a good size for carrying on the go. It has large, college ruled pages, and rounded corners. It has a hard cover that is cardboard-bound and meant to last a long time.
Sacred Oak Tree Leather Blank Book: This journal is by AzureGreen and has an oak tree design on the front. The hardcover bound journal is made of leather on the outside, with acid-free pages that are easy to write on on the inside. It is an affordable journal at just $10, sized at 5 inches wide and 7 inches tall.
Girl of All Work LLC Peel and Stick Tabs: These are some of my favorite tabs to add color and organization to any notebook.
Sakura 3-Piece Pigma Micron Blister Card Ink Pen Set, Black: These pens have a fine tip, but they are so easy to write with.
Staedtler Triplus Fineliner: I love the variety of colors these offer.
Washi Tape, Set of 6 Rolls: You can’t go wrong with washi tape!
The 52 Lists Project: A Year of Weekly Journaling Inspiration: When you don’t know what to write about, this journaling inspiration books has the ideas for you.
BookFactory Journal: This is a hardbound journal, so it will stay protected a little bit better than one with a soft cover. There are 192 lined pages, and there is also a placeholder ribbon (definitely one of the first things I look for when investing in a journal!).
Q&A a Day: 5-Year Journal: This journal makes it easy for you to keep track of your daily life for five years.
